How messy failures can succeed

When we rely on organization, we get what organization can do. When we rely upon education, we get what education can do. When we rely on eloquence, we get what eloquence can do. But when we rely on the Holy Spirit, we get what God can do. — A.C. Dixon

This quote reminds us that while things like being organized, well informed and well spoken are certainly helpful and important they only get us so far. If pursued to the exclusion of God they will end up limiting us. It is also an encouragement that our life success is predicated more on who God is rather than who we are.

Wish you were more organized? Talk to God about what your priorities should be (Isaiah 55:8-9).

Feel stupid half the time? Remember that the fear of the Lord is the sou

rce of  all wisdom (Proverbs 1:7).

Can't put two words together to save yourself? Find out how God would have you serve and go do it because actions speak louder than words (Proverbs 20:11).

Let's encourage each other to seek God more and take on board more John the Baptist's attitude of "he must increase, I must decrease". (John 3:30)
